Meshuggah created a monster nightmare with Catch 33. Along with all the rest of Meshuggah's CDs you need to listen to Catch 33 multiple times to get it. The very end where Jens holds out those longs screams is chilling. Can't wait for what Meshuggah have to offer next. They'll tour the USA in the fall of 2005, but first do a European tour in May and June. Give this band a few listens, they're worth it. Tomas Haake can play some wacky shit on drums while still keeping time with his hi-hat!

The drums on this cd are fucking programmed and ever song sounds the exact same haven't I heard this shit before O that's right all there cd's sound like this, this has got to be the lamest piece of shit ever!!!! now that I'm done with that I'll go back to listening to Beneath the Massacre, and Necrophagist and let you people who don't know anything about a true metal band go back to listening to your all mighty Meshuggah

Say what u want about this "Experimental" album,Thomas Haake is one of the best drummers in metal and had to use prog drums beacuase the riffs are so complex. Noone else in the world can play the "Math" metal they invented.Thomas Haake is absent in the album and thats all that missing. Barnone.

To clarify, they programmed the drums because they had neither the time nor money to go into the studio and arrange the album in a live setting. However, none of the drumming is very far removed from Haake's typical drumming, so I don't see the problem.

its obvious if you know anything about meshuggah you know Tomas could play any of the beats on this album easily, so why does it really matter

The boring 4/4 caged ('cause they're too stupid to do more) Beneath the Massacre and Necrophagist compared to Meshuggah? Well, go for Blink182 or Green Day played at 78 rpm. :-))
